Congratulations to Early County Middle School eighth grader, Kaitlyn Wells, for representing the Early County School System in the Region Nine Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 28, 2026. After winning a classroom bee, a school bee, and a district bee, Kaitlyn served as the qualifier in the regional bee held at Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, Georgia, which included spelling and vocabulary competitive rounds. Kaitlyn is the daughter of Wesley and Bridget Wells and resides in Damascus, Georgia. Kaitlyn has a sister, Savannah, who is a senior at Early County High School.
