Advantages to Sack Lunches for Field Trips 

Avoid time consuming stops along the way. 
Avoid the high cost of fast food restaurants. 
All students have the opportunity to receive a good meal.

Procedures for Ordering Sack Lunches for Field Trips

  1. Once you know the date of you field trip, click the link to the “Sack Lunch Request Form”  and fill it out. Indicate which sack lunch you wish for your students to have by clicking the button next to the meal on the form. Please remember to include the number of adult meals you will need for chaperones and teachers. You will also need to collect money for the adult meals and have it ready to turn in the day of the field trip. Adult breakfasts are $2.50 and adult lunches are $5.25. 
     
  2. Submit the request form at least 2 weeks prior to the field trip so that there is enough time to order the food.  When you submit your online request a copy will be automatically sent to the school lunchroom manager, the school nutrition director, and yourself.
     
  3. The day before the field trip please provide the lunchroom with your grade level coolers so that the lunches can be packed and ready to go the next morning. Please note that the lunchroom does not have coolers to supply you with so if you need coolers please see your principal ahead of time to buy or borrow coolers from another grade level. 
     
  4. The day of the field trip please submit the money to the manager for the adult meals. Also, remember to print and take a class roster with you on the trip. When you distribute lunches you will need to place a check mark by each student’s name to indicate that he or she ate. Remember to sign your name at the bottom of the roster as well to let us know who passed out the meals and checked off the rosters. 
     
  5. At the end of the trip please return any unused meals and the completed rosters to the lunchroom. Do not leave any food or coolers with the drivers or on the buses. We are accountable for all food used and unused. We will enter the student’s names into the computer at that time. If you wish, you can also leave your coolers to be washed out but remember to pick them up the next morning.

    • PBJ Sandwich w/ Mozzarella String Cheese Stick
    • 3/4c Raw Veggie Mix w/Ranch Dressing
    • (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrot & Celery Sticks)
    • Baked Reduced Fat Nacho or Cool Ranch Doritos
    • Fresh Apple, Banana, or Orange Juice Box (100% Fruit Juice)
    • Milk 

    • Ham N Cheese Sandwich 
    • 3/4c Raw Veggie Mix w/Ranch Dressing
    • (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrot & Celery Sticks)
    • Sunchips (Garden Salsa or Cheddar Cheese)
    • Fresh Apple, Banana, or Orange Juice Box (100% Fruit Juice)
    • Milk 

    • Hotdog on Bun
    • 1/2c Raw Veggie Mix w/Ranch Dressing
    • (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrot & Celery Sticks)
    • Whole Dill Pickle
    • Baked Reduced Fat Nacho or Cool Ranch Doritos
    • Fresh Apple, Banana, or Orange Juice Box (100% Fruit Juice)
    • Milk
