Read Across America Week Is Making an Impact in ECSS!
Read Across America Week is being celebrated across the Early County School System in meaningful and memorable ways!
From seniors to Pre-K students and all grades in between, our schools are creating engaging opportunities that highlight the importance of reading.
Whether it’s a middle school student building confidence by reading aloud to younger learners or an elementary class enjoying a story under the open sky, these moments reflect the culture of literacy we are building district-wide.
Reading is not confined to a classroom or a single grade level. It connects us all.
These activities directly support our district goal to Educate, Elevate, and Empower with Literacy. When older students model strong reading habits, they elevate younger learners. When teachers create dynamic literacy experiences, they empower students to grow as confident readers. And when our entire district participates, we reinforce that literacy is not just a subject, it is the foundation for success in every area.
Read Across America Week is a reminder that in ECSS, literacy is everywhere! In every school, every grade, every day.
